Bactec 9050 Blood Culture System

The BACTEC"™ 9050 Blood Culture System combines the features of the BACTEC"™ System into a smaller instrument for laboratories processing fewer than 5 blood cultures per day. Continuous Monitoring Technology Patient samples are continuously monitored every 10 minutes by the instrument to detect positives as they occur, permitting earlier subculturing and diagnosis for better patient care. Advanced algorithms for low blood volume, pediatric specimens and slow-growing organisms such as Haemophilus and Neisseria provide rapid detection in blood culture and extend delayed vial entry capability. Automated built-in testing provides continuous quality control of every well, every 10 minutes, eliminating the need to perform complicated calibration procedures. Complies with CLIA '88 regulations in the USA. High-Performance Results Uniques fluorescent sensor technology enhances testing precision.
